Prayer & Fasting Devotional | Day 2

DAY 2: FOR THE NEXT LEVEL by Charlie Martin
"Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence".
Ephesians 3:12(NLT)
"I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends".
Revelation 3:19-20
Thanks to the work of Jesus on the cross, we have access to God’s presence. It was formerly forbidden because of our sin, but the veil of the temple was torn in two. But relationships have two sides. God has done his part, what is our part? We need to spend time with him, find out what he likes and what he doesn’t like just like you would with any relationship. He likes to be worshiped and praised. He likes righteous living. He likes loving and serving other people. He doesn’t like sin. He doesn’t like hard hearts and bad attitudes. If we want a deeper experience with God, we need a report card or feedback similar to the 7 letters that Jesus dictated to John in the book of Revelation. What are we doing well, What do we need to work on. If we will open ourselves up to feedback and respond in the right way, we’ll experience God’s presence on a deeper level.

Prayer:  As Moses prayed, "Lord, show us your glorious presence" and as David said, "show us the way of life and grant us the joy of your presence". Search us Lord and show us anything in our lives that would hinder us from being in your presence.

Application: As you fast and pray, allow God to show you things you can do to improve your relationship with Him
